Welcome to my article. I’m sixty seven years old and consider myself still healthy. I don’t do much to stay that way; I should really eat a bit less. But during the summer I go for long bike rides, and during winter I walk.
What’s your excuse for not reaping the health benefits of walking to fitness?
We all live in a society which basically has eradicated any form of natural exercise which could be beneficial to us, especially walking. Think about it: We basically live in our cars! We run our errands by entering drive-through restaurants, post offices and what not. Our whole infrastructure is designed based upon the automobile and we are programmed to use it whenever possible. If you want to exercise you can drive to the gym. How ironic!
However, walking is an exercise most anyone can do. It does not cost anything and does not require special equipment. It is by far the easiest exercise and can be incorporated into any daily routine. Walking 30 minutes a day, five times a week is all you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and reap the health benefits of walking fitness!
You can start out slowly, adding a few more minutes to your walking routine every day.
Here are some more easy suggestions: Start walking the stairs at work. Take a walk during your lunch hour to relax. Take the dog for a walk. Park at the far end of the store parking lot and walk a little farther.
I enjoy walking during winter; the cold air seems to pump energy into my body. Can you find out why fresh falling snow makes us, children and animal alike happy? I don’t know, but the magic shape of each snow flake is sure a marvel of nature. To young guys from Africa were in our school at the Moncton New Brunswick Technical Institute, during the first snow fall of that year, those two students who never experienced a snow fall in their life, started shouting, shooting their arm in the air and rolling themselves in the snow. They were crazy with sheer joy. Oh well just to tell you I love walking during winter. I hope you love it too and best of all do it.
As a design draftsman I passed many long hours sitting in front of my computer and repeating the same movements over and over, never taking a break. When I was young I used to be a competition weight lifter and believed that the body was a supper machine. Wrong! When my doctor told me I had carpal tunnel problems I never heard about that word before and had no clues of what it could do. Well. I’m still fighting with painful fingers. I wish somebody would have advised me on how it’s important to relax once in a while and do some of the exercises as mentioned below in front of my computer once in a while. I wouldn’t be suffering with that painful problem.
Exercise to do in front of your computer:
If you, like me, have a job where you sit still in front of a computer several hours per day, it’s easy to forget that you need to move once in a while. I need to remind myself of that all the time. I can start out by sitting straight and then, somehow, later in the afternoon (especially on Fridays) I’m half lying down on my chair. Not so good for back, neck and shoulders. Do yourself a favor and take small breaks during your workday to release some of that muscle tension. Even if you don’t have any problems right now, you may prevent pain later in life by doing a few good exercises.
I have worked all my life as a Design Draftsman. Article Source:http://www.articlesbase.com/mental-health-articles/walk-your-way-to-fitness-1735454.html
Due to bad economic time here in Canada, My Company had to downsize.
Whoever thinks that the economy is good in Canada, think again.
You are OK if you already have a job, but if not; forget about finding another job.
Not as a draftsman.
So I’m trying to sell online products as an affiliate.
If I sell OK! If not; Oh Well! I’m learning something new.
Writing articles is a good way to learn about the products you are trying to sell.
A research has to be made prior to writing the article.
If the research prove that the product is not good; I will simply not promote it. http://rudyshealthproducts.webs.com
